London Chemicals & Resources Ltd (LCR) is an international distributor, stockist and supplier of industrial inorganic chemicals including a Tungsten catalyst.
Tungsten carbide (chemical formula: WC) is a chemical compound (specifically, a carbide) containing equal parts of tungsten and carbon atoms. In its most basic form, tungsten carbide is a fine grey powder, but it can be pressed and formed into shapes through a process called sintering for use in industrial machinery, cutting tools, abrasives, and others.
Tungsten carbide is approximately twice as stiff as steel, with Young’s modulus of approximately 530–700 GPa (77,000 to 102,000 ksi), and is double the density of steel—nearly midway between that of lead and gold. It is comparable with corundum in hardness and can be polished and finished only with abrasives of superior hardness such as cubic boron nitride and diamond powder, wheels and compounds.
Global Customer Base
We hold several agencies and serve a global customer base both directly and via a network of local agents. LCR is committed to providing efficient service and competitive pricing to all customers.
Working closely with several producer principals around the world, quality, consistency and reliability are all important watchwords for LCR ensuring that our customers return again and again.

What Is Tungsten Trioxide
Tungsten(VI) oxide, also known as tungsten trioxide or tungstic anhydride, WO3, is a chemical compound containing oxygen and the transition metal tungsten. It is obtained as an intermediate in the recovery of tungsten from its minerals. Tungsten ores are treated with alkalis to produce WO3. Further reaction with carbon or hydrogen gas reduces tungsten trioxide to the pure metal. Tungsten trioxide is a strong oxidative agent, it reacts rare-earth elements, iron, copper, aluminium, manganese, zinc, chromium, molybdenum, carbon, hydrogen and silver to make the pure tungsten metal, and gold and platinum to make the tungsten dioxide.
We can help to supply:
- APT
- Sodium Tungstate
- Calcium Tungstate
- Tungsten Trioxide
Tungsten Trioxide is typically available in most volumes. Ultra-high purity, high purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered.
