LCR – Tianjin

The Far East plays an important role for LCR, particularly in terms of sourcing. In recognition of this fact, we have a Chinese representative office which was launched in February 2006. The office is staffed by highly qualified, experienced Chinese nationals and has a very close relationship with our London office and its executives who make frequent visits to China. The General Manager is Mr. Liu, Hong Shun and Manager is Miss Lee, Lily. We have established this relationship to assist with our Far Eastern purchases and sales and to act as an agent on our behalf. Why Choose Tianjin?

Tianjin, is a city of more than 10 million people and one of the four municipalities directly under the Central Government. It is located in the north-east of the North China Plain and is the closest seaport to Beijing. The city is one of the biggest industrial and port cities in China and also known as "the diamond of the Bohai Gulf". Tianjin is one of the fastest growing development areas in the world and is already the location of choice for multinationals including Motorola, Toyota and Samsung. It has China's largest container wharf and ships from every country use its facilities. Major domestic and international airlines serve the coastal international airport and it is a very important railway junction terminal for the two main lines: Tianjin to Shandong and Tianjin to Shanghai. The weather is fairly temperate with average daily temperatures of 13 degrees C although summer can be +26 degrees C and winters below freezing. Like much of Europe, spring and autumn are probably the nicest times for an informal visit.
